The gilt bronze body rises to a pointed, almost Gothic arch topped with a tiny cross finial, and the whole border is worked in champlevé enamel with a continuous garland of flowers in pink, lavender, blue and white against a pale green ground, with deeper red and blue panels at the shaped feet.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe scale is intimate, made for a carte de visite, a miniature or a small devotional image, and the arched top gives it a quiet, chapel-like character that suits a bedside table or a dressing table beautifully.
