A beautifully preserved 1858 edition of The Works of Oliver Goldsmith, richly bound in warm cognac leather with gilt detailing, marbled endpapers, and decorative marbled page edges. This substantial Victorian volume includes several of Goldsmith’s most celebrated works, including The Vicar of Wakefield, The Citizen of the World, essays, letters, poetry, and plays.

The book features engraved illustrations throughout and retains its original period character, including handwritten inscriptions dated 1860 and an embossed school crest to the cover from Glasgow Model Schools & Training College.
