A beautifully decorated Chinese porcelain jardinière featuring a highly desirable turquoise ground with vivid famille rose enamels, figural garden scenes, butterflies, florals, scrolling foliage, and extensive gilded accents.
The form is especially elegant, with a flared rim, broad gilt handles, and richly decorated reserves extending around the body. The turquoise ground gives the piece exceptional depth and makes the pink, coral, yellow, blue, and green enamels stand out beautifully.
The gilding is in fantastic condition and remains bright throughout. The interior is also decorated around the rim, adding another layer of detail rarely seen on simpler examples.
